Do Not do reel repairs while standing in the ocean .. Waded out last night and spied my new line under the spool . I'll just pop the spool off and fix that ,,(rather than walk all the way in .. I removed the spool to see the line looped one time under that little gear and teflon washer.. I no sooner saw this when the tension on the line flung those two pieces into the ocean . Reels useless .. dosen't work . I haven't been able to swing Van Staal,,Saltiga,,Zee Baas and would still like to fish ghetto .. Anyone know where I can get these parts ? I did have a back up reel and got skunked,,,,, again .. :btu:

I see alot of guys fishing handlines. Why buy expensive parts ? All you need is some line a stick and an old coke can.If it makes you feel better I got skunked again also.Had a good hit on an eel real early but I tried to set the hook too fast.Oh well.Good luck finding parts.

He's helped me in the past with Nautil parts. If you dont' know Mike, he is INCREDIBLY knowledgeable with just about any reel and has most parts on site.
Good Luck

Tagger contact pure fishing the distributors they'll replace the parts for the cost of shipping in most cases, and will at times just ask you to send the reel in and they'll send you a brandy new one. WInch toasts them all the time for fun, give him a call he can give you the particulars.
