I was reminded once again last night of the power of rigged eels and eelskin swimmers under the moonlight. After a good swim out to a favorite spot that seems to produce when the moon gets bright my Sluggo's and all other eel like lures were ignored save for a few small bass.
Rob however had eelskins ready to swim and was promptly rewarded with a 39# bass.
If you haven't fished rigged eels before, you should. Especially on those tough nights when it seems like no one is home, they simply work. Take the time to rig a few up, it's worth the effort.
