Meantime, instead of coming together as Americans and uniting behind our country,
many are busy demonizing anyone they disagree with and looking at all the negatives rather than the American values that we were built upon and unite us.

America's future doesn't look that good. In 20 years 53% of America will be made up of minorities,
which at this time many are here illegally, not willing to become citizens, learn our language or adopt American values either.

Imho, unless we unite with a cause bigger than ourselves ,as we have in the past,
i don't see much hope for America being a world leader.

JPI - I agree with most of what you have said. I am not no sure that, even in the past, we have ever really been united. I think that history paints a nice picture when you look back at it, but this country has always been divided along many lines.

I have my own answers to the problems you've listed but my biggest fear is that I have NO confidence in either of our presidential candidates and think things are going to get worse and may possibly never get better.

but in the 30's, 40's and 50's we were all united in our patriotism,
our beliefs in defending freedom, working hard, and family values.
