Having been a sailboat owner for the last decade and more, I always look at the hurricane site starting in early August. Just thought it was interesting how the storms are stacked up right now. Unfortunately, the H is headed toward my second home, NOLA. Tis the season and the water has been warm this year. I also live along the southcoast and that keeps me watching too. Hey... I'm just sharing. BassDawg 08-28-2008, 04:56 AM thanks for the heads up Kevin, and you ARE right,,,,,,,,,,,,,,we can never be toooo careful. just doan want another GOOD moon effffed up by mother nature    i hope that your boat weathers well and the last thing NOLA needs is another Big Blow!   Crafty Angler 08-28-2008, 08:49 AM The 70th anniversary of the Hurricane of '38 is September 21st. I dunno, call me superstitious :smokin: 1dozenraw 08-28-2008, 11:13 AM My good friends are preparing to evacuate their home in New Orleans. What a thought for so many who have taken such losses in property and family disruption in the last few years. Talk about "thoughts and prayers needed". I was down there three times in the 6 months following the Katrina flood. Broke my heart. Hope to be there in October. I hope it's not to help clean-up again. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
