Compare last weeks web coverage of the Dems to this week's RNC. The difference is astonishing! Big glittery cover pages are replaced with small headlines, most of which are the negative side "dems say liberman lied" etc.

And how about the "unbiased" media's coverage of Palin? Even other journalists are embarrased at the unabashed vitriol being thrown at her by the media. They are practially drooling in the fervor. I like Giuilliani's comments, 'Where are the Feminists"? I guess the only support Dem woman. Oberman, Blitzer and especially Matthews are left wing journalists and should be labeled as such.
Im sure this is just my imagination.......right Spence? :fishslap:

Its because McCain pulled ahead in the polls by a few points, now they've got to jumpstart the numbers increase for Barry. Its the $$$ from the campaign advertising revenue stream. Keep it a horse race, keep add space at a premium.

Do you not understand how the press works?

Jimmy, you need to stop reading the Boston Globe and ProJo. Pick yourself up a copy of the Herald each morning and relax with the only paper in the region worth reading.

Yes, to celbrate and further the liberal agenda.

It's because the few liberals who are not on welfare run the media outlets - but most liberals and democrats are on welfare, so I would not worry about it.
It's in the bag, Palin speaks tonight - just wait until people hear her.

Yes, to celbrate and further the liberal agenda.

Sure if you're a nutcase and blind to the fact that they went out of their minds over Rev. Wright.

They exist for their own benefit, to sensationalize and push the hottest new thing thats happening whether it be some preggo 17yo or Britney shaving her head.

There is no "bias" you just choose to see it that way.

I like Giuilliani's comments, 'Where are the Feminists"?

I liked his comment, "What is a Community Organizer?"

I like how his second wife first heard of their separation at a news conference along with the rest of the world. I also admire his penchant for dressing up as a woman whenever the opportunity arises, very progressive.

I'm on the road but have watching when I can...overall I've found the coverage of the RNC convention about on par with the DNC. Even MSNBC was very positive of Palin this morning and they're the new enemy of FOX News.

But all things considered, how does Palin not deserve to be raked over the coals? She's been thrust into the VP spotlight and the people know nothing about her. The press is simply reporting on what's available both good and bad.

What I don't get is this fascination with the Media as the source of the problem, rather than the substance of the issues. In the end this just leads people blindly into corners.

Well,
I tell you what.
I listen to NPR most of the day.
There was no negative talk of Palin that I could hear.

Does it talk about the problems that have been brought up? Yes.
Has it been a vicious tear down? Not even a little bit.

Skip, what is she going to come out swinging with?
She will toe the party line with a rah rah speech. It is a convention, not a debate.

Clarence Thomas makes suggestive comments to Anita Hill--throw the bastard off the bench.

Bob Packwood--hang the SOB.

Bill Clinton bangs an intern (per se sexual harrassment in every office anywhere in the US of A)--crickets chirp.

It's old news.

Huh??? I remember Clinton taking it relentlessly over various issues.

He certainly didn't skate on the Lewinsky affair, and the press coverage of the Ken Star multi-million dollar taxpayer funded expose into nothing was daily news.

Ask all the Republicans in the Senate why they didn't vote against his impeachment. Were they jaded by the liberal press also?

Ok, now I'm watching FOX and Bill O'Riley just started his show talking about attacks on Palin from the LIBERAL MEDIA, followed by damning clips ONLY from DAVID LETTERMAN, BILL MAHR, THE VIEW and JAY LENNO :rtfm:

Like WTF??? This is the LIBERAL MEDIA I've been hearing so much about???

But I guess FOX News isn't biased because they're FAIR AND BALANCED.

I report, you decide :lama:

Check this out - do a find on the page for "democrat" . oops it wasnt mentioned. I guess its not important what party the mayor is from. But something tells me that if it was a republican....

I think CNN is as left as it gets. I also think that Fox is as right as it gets. I don't remember a Republican person interviewed to rebuke every speaker when CNN covered the DNC. Myself, I try to watch both. I get pissed at both. we truly need a fair and balanced media but it will never happen. Maybe with Obama we will get goverment run media.
There is always PBS, I wonder how they will vote

Blame de-regulation. The media has always been slanted, somewhat by its very nature. But it has been different slants, multiple slants, now there are only 2.
