View Full Version : Jets Are Gonna Kick Our A$$! BigFish 09-07-2008, 08:03 PM But hey.....watching an injured Patriots team is better than watching a healthy Raider team!:hihi: Slipknot 09-07-2008, 08:06 PM bite your tongue rwilhelm 09-10-2008, 08:19 AM I would not count the Pats out yet. I think they can still win about 10 games and make the playoffs if Cassell just manages the game and does not make a lot of mistakes. The defense and running game are definetly going to have to step it up though for them to make the playoffs. plankton 09-10-2008, 09:46 AM What's with the negative vibes, we still own the AFC east, I don't care who's playing QB for who, plus we'll see how long Favre lasts when the Pats front seven (and Rodney) start teeing off on him.:smokin: spence 09-10-2008, 09:52 AM It certainly is shaping up to be the game of the year, and we're only in WEEK 2! This puts a lot of pressure on the Pats D, but I think we're going to get several turnovers that will be the key to the game. Pats win, 20-14. -spence NIB 09-10-2008, 10:17 AM Should be a good game.I can't believe the Jets are favored.. Jets prevent D looked shaky the other day agianst the fish.. They actually had three shots at the end zone to win before it was picked off.Our kicking situation is Not Good. The game will probably come down to that.. wader-dad 09-10-2008, 11:15 AM Jets offensive line is very shaky-maybe just rust from the off season and 2 new guys. That is the key. If the jets can run alittle bit it will be a close game. Jets could not cover the tight ends of Miami at all so that could be an area to watch. Farve if is fun to watch. I can see why the Green Bay fans excused him for all of the interceptions. He appears to be a guy you would love to fish with. Go Jets. Andy D 09-10-2008, 12:18 PM The Jets have to stop the run and force Cassel to throw the ball . That means the off line has to step up to the plate. Cassell played a good game against a not so good K.C. defense. This will be the test but I'm sure coach Bill will get him ready. GO JETS! Mike P 09-10-2008, 02:18 PM What's with the negative vibes, we still own the AFC east, I don't care who's playing QB for who, plus we'll see how long Favre lasts when the Pats front seven (and Rodney) start teeing off on him.:smokin: Do you think that Rodney's going to be doing much blitzing, given how shaky you guys are at cornerback? He's got more experience that the rest of the secondary put together. I haven't seen a lot of Jets games since leaving the NY area--have they discovered that it's legal to throw to their tight end yet? :rotf2: They drafted a good one--supposedly a good one anyway--out of Purdue. Do you think that Rodney might be just a wee bit preoccupied with covering him and not so free to blitz at will? Raider Ronnie 09-10-2008, 09:08 PM But hey.....watching an injured Patriots team is better than watching a healthy Raider team!:hihi: Good one Larry !!! Watching my 10 year old son box more commercial size fish in a night than you see in a year throwing your plugs (like the other night) is better to me than watching any healthy team !!! :bgi: BigFish 09-10-2008, 09:58 PM Did I strike a nerve Ron?:laugha: afterhours 09-11-2008, 05:38 AM patriots 20-17. Raider Ronnie 09-11-2008, 06:06 AM Did I strike a nerve Ron?:laugha: Not at all. I watched 0 minutes of football last weekend. We are coming into the best fishing of the year and thats all i'm thinking about! Raven 09-11-2008, 07:31 AM it'll be the largest audience of the season or the most watched game i predict.... nice score prediction Don. The pats have more tricks up their sleeve.... than just TB fishaholic18 09-11-2008, 07:59 AM IN BILL WE TRUST NIB 09-11-2008, 09:16 AM Read a article on Schilling the other day saying how the Yankee's suck their dynasty means nothing an how Jet fans are now happy Brady got hurt.. He is a ass.. I am a Met Fan in case don't you now anything about the rivalry Down here.It is worse than being a Red Sox fan.. You have to admit the Yankee Dynasty is one to admire..I kinda enjoy rooting for the second class team in town. It's always more fun to root for the underdog. His words where mighty big from a guy who has not thrown a pitch all year.. And while I am glad not to face Brady I certainly did not want him to get hurt.I would consider it a better victory WITH HIM in the game.. I am tired of that ass and his big mouth.. The Dad Fisherman 09-11-2008, 09:23 AM You have to admit the Yankee Dynasty is one to admire. You will NEVER, EVER, EVER....hear or see me admit that.....EVER. Did I say EVER.... I admit sometimes Curt opens his yap when he should not BUT, I bet that article has quotes from a call in to WEEI where he was joking about some of that, New York media would never take advantage of that kind of thing to get their readers all up in a lather about something :rollem: anyway, the Pats will have a challenge but the Jets have too many holes Patriots 20 Jets 13 Slipknot 09-11-2008, 09:12 PM I think this game means more to the Jets than to the Pats Raven 09-12-2008, 05:05 AM with all thats been said.... i think the team minus Tom Brady has something to prove,,, so i'll take your 50/50 and raise you to pats wanna win 75% more than the JETS  :btu: afterhours 09-12-2008, 05:48 AM wow....forgot what it's like to be disrespected underdogs- i'm sure the team will use this to their advantage..... run, run, dink, dunk, run, pop to randy...:) i think cassel will manage the game well. The Dad Fisherman 09-12-2008, 06:50 AM As long as Cassell doesn't do anything stupid we should be fine. and Hell, Favre made a career out of throwing stupid passes SK, Great line about the binky :hihi: Raven 09-12-2008, 07:45 AM As long as Cassell doesn't do anything stupid we should be fine. Well Cassell does seem to be hell bent to run the ball all the way if given the chance and make a touch down himself.... and with Tom Brady doing it twice last year he's probably even more tempted. :hs: vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
