I just received an e-mail that a fellow S-B'er and MSBA member John Kelly aka Topwater has taken a serious fall while working at home and is in the hospital recuperating! I would ask for all your T & P's for John and his Wife Kelly, and your hopes for his speedy recovery! John is a great guy, very quiet unless you know him (:tooth:) so lets wish him the best! Hopefully this thread will cheer him up a bit because I hear he needs it as we can imagine!:kewl:

Get well soon John!:)

BF, thanks for starting the thread......I didn't realize he was on the site.......he's in rough shape......I didn't talk to Kelly tonight as I just got home from work......a MSBA member stopped by to visit him and said he was lucid and talkative......it's so great to see the support that fellow S-B ers give in a time of need......I'm sure he will appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.......I know I do.......thanks to all of you.......

I did make it by last night, gave Mrs Kelly Kelly a lil break. John is no longer in ICU but certainly had a serious fall. Surgery went well and he is on the slow road to recovery, I did pass on the well wishes and he certainly appreciated them. I also bought him a drink (pushed his morphine button) on my way out from all of us :hihi:

He's home! Here is what I received from Kelly.........

Good morning everyone,Well to day is the day that they are letting him out. He has a long way to go but at least it will be at home.(so as of right now I'm moving out, just kidding) He'll see the Doctor to get the many, many staples removed. From now till then it will be a lot of rest, and for all of you who know John that it one thing John does enjoy a lot.Sleep! If you can't fish then why get up.I thank all of you for the prayers and support through this once again bump in the road. I hope there are no other potholes.Feel free to call or stop by.Kelly

John, maybe you could do some recovery from the fall/surgery on the Vineyard. Either way, at home I am sure you'll get the best care. I can't imagine anyone at the Basic fishing shack would irrigate the incision or change dressings.
