Last night in the full moon, I started catching some very small bass, like 14" micro-bass, was just about to move when the next two casts produced a pair of 25 lbers. Then right back to the very small bass again. All caught on rather large live eels.

Has anyone else ever have this happen? Do you think it was a school of small and a school of larger that happen to clash for a few minutes, or do very small and much larger bass school up?

I usually move if the bass are that small, but I'll think twice in the future.

Wow, that didn't occur to me.

Seems odd that the schoolies would continue to feed on my elvers while their elders would continue to feed on them.

This was a new area for me. Do you think that Large fish "hunt" smaller fish of the same breed, or is it rather just a case of them "happening upon" a school.

I am just trying to take a lesson away from last night. best night for me in quite some time.
