plankton 09-24-2008, 09:28 AM Heading down for a long weekend, wondering if anyone had some reccomendations on where to eat, is there a good place for fish and chips? Also, have a kitchen in our room, where's the best place to get groceries, is there a store in P-town or should i stop somewhere on the way out? Looks like it's gonna be a wet weekend, need good food to keep me going. Thanks.

Rappin Mikey 09-24-2008, 10:22 AM The Lobster Pot is good. So is Rubillas. Whitman's on 6 in Truro is good. The Wicked Oyster in Welfleet is great. There is a Grand Union store on ShankPainter Road (3rd Ptown exit off of 6). I'll be out there (welfleet) this weekend but my parents will be in Ptown. Look out for a grey jeep cherokee with a kayak and cargo rack with rod launchers on the back.
fcap60 09-24-2008, 10:46 AM Take a walk on the main strip in P- Town. Mnay, many, good places to eat and it won't be difficult to find one

JohnnyD 09-24-2008, 03:59 PM I hear the Bath House has some good food.
Use this sign to get served: :bshake:
redlite 09-24-2008, 04:37 PM Best food is the Whitman house on rt6 in Truro. It has the old carriage in a glass enclosure on the front yard. Also happens to be owned by one of the best fisherman down there. the reel deal.
George's Pizza across from P-town Town Hall is excellent as well. For breakfast best place is OSheas place at the intersextions of Bradford and commercial streets heading towards Truro. excellent breakfast buffet. Also PapaRazzi on rt6a on the water right on the Ptown\truro town line used to be pretty good.
Enjoy the sights. Don't miss a stop in at Shop Therapy.
The Iceman 6 09-24-2008, 05:42 PM 2nd/3rd Mikey's/Redlites comments re: Whitman. You'll now the guy is serious by checking out his boats in the parking lot. Whitman is also very kid friendly. I also like Cero & Sals in P-Town. George's pizza rocks - love the bacon and meatball pie they produce.
Blitzseeker 09-24-2008, 05:50 PM Agreed that Whitman's is great, and agreed that that boat is no joke.
Michael O'Shays is great for dinner/drinks as well...we go there a fair bit and the staff is great.
For breakfast, we tend toward Careirra's(sp?) Tips for Topsun. Good, insanely fast, and cheap.
Other breakfast option is the bagel/pastry/coffee place next to Dutros (again sp?) market in Truro. Very good.
Papparazzi's is closed now, I beleive.

RickBomba 09-25-2008, 05:57 AM That's fine...I have no idea what he said either. Looks like somebody got into the Peppermint Schnapps after work yesterday.
saltfly 09-25-2008, 11:38 AM stop at the stop&shop in orleans before going to ptwn.the Grand Union market is expensive[we call it "grand larceny"] and some items are lets say suspect.
piemma 09-25-2008, 11:55 AM Michaels has the best all you can eat breakfast buffet in P-Town. We use to fish all night and then hit Michaels for the buffet. The owners would cring when 4 or 5 surf rats showed up after fishing all night. The amount of food we would consume would be astonishing.
The food is great and it use to be something like $12.95 for all you could consume.
