The Big Catch and I just spent our second day in the boat at Cape Pogue Light, where we ran into the biggest bluefish blitz we've seen in 20 years. It started at the lighthouse and went all the way down until the windmill- as far as the eye could see. It was absolutely incredible. The boat was completely surrounded by fish. You could cast 100yds in any direction and still get into fish and birds. We were fishing with the fast track and had to change to single hook plugs- because as soon as your plug hit the water, you were on. And when the fish weren't showing, we still slammed the heck out of them trolling. We stopped counting . Still plenty of fish around here. It ain't over yet. Hope tomorrow will be as good as the last 2.

I wish I'd been there, sounds like you had a ball. I'm still hoping to be in a new boat here soon and get out once or twice more, tight lines.

The bluefish must have been praying to the Gods last night, because the wind, 40 mph, kept us in port today.
Maybe it all worked out for the best, because our arms are pretty sore after yesterdays fiasco.
Hopefully, we can get back there tomorrow, cause the water temperature is dropping rapidly. At last check it was down to 58. Still looking for a couple of more
fun days with the fish. Next time out, we're bringing the video camera.
