Had breakfast with the family at Hummarock and the wind and waves were howling. I have the afternoon to myself and would love to fish but these conditions make me wonder. Anybody fish in stuff like this?

Frankiesurf 10-19-2008, 06:52 PM A strong NE wind creating some not too often seen white water over bars and boulders is a rare treat. Bass in the wash blues outside of it. Lots of fun. Just make sure you have a splash top and manuever so you are casting nto the wind. I thought it was beautiful out there today. MarshCappa 10-19-2008, 08:34 PM No good where I was today. Looked really good though. The tide was way up and the first place I went to the waves were crashing onto the road. Some A-hole was standing on the sea wall getting knocked off on the raod on purpose. I watched for awhile and then decided I didn't want to watch him go the other way and have to call the authorities. The 2nd place I went to was down wind but no fish. I even saw Sea Tow going out?? Who in their right mind would head out in stuff like that as a recreational fisherman? BatesBCheatin 10-19-2008, 08:39 PM Got out at 4 and the wind really picked up around 6AM where I was. I threw right into it and into all the good holes, but alas... the fish did not show. Flaptail 10-19-2008, 11:07 PM Go loaded. Loaded Redfins, loaded needles and in the daylight heavy metal. There is clean water under all that foam, fish high water as waves will break more on beach than the bars. Be ready to get soaked. There are fish under all that. In the words of the Senior Angler, "tend the botom". shorehunter 10-20-2008, 12:32 AM fished saturday, 4:30 pm to 10;00pm skunked and it was cold.
