you have to rotate your wood....Slingah - stack enough for the next fire when you get a good fire burning...
near by and dry it as you go...

don't know how your covering your pile outside but
a plastic tarp over it humidifies the wood and makes it wetter... better to have a plywood roofed water shed.

the guy up the road was charging $300 and i thought that was too high...with heating oil prices dropping to $269.00 per gallon around here...

if you have a truck, you can get a better deal if you load the cord yourself rather than have it delivered.

thanks Raven...I do usually get it in my pick up...8' bed $80...one guy is outta biz...other is too far away now... looks like those deals are all over..I gotta go scouting..
I keep my wood dry...it just me being lazy and not getting it ahead of time...

$ 90 bucks to fix a rheostat in the wife's car... yesterday...
$220 to have a EGR valve installed in the van
and now the freakin water pump bearing just decided to crap out ,
so thats next, schedualed for next week...$150 estimate
but hey ! i have a real inspection sticker now
 woo hoo...

Slingah did you look on Craigslist? There's been some decent prices on there a bit.

Matt. The house next door to me has a sign up advertising $280/cord, cut and split. I can get the phone number tomorrow. I think he's family of my neighbor and he's in Hanson.
