I paid $2.31 yesterday at a Cumby's near work. That's a big drop in a short time. Will it go below $2 this year?

JohnnyD 11-07-2008, 04:11 AM Diesel is still 3.40. I wish diesel would drop as quickly as gasoline. As long as those tanks, choppers, and jets are moving in the Middle East, Diesel prices will continue to be ridiculously high. Expect to wait until at least 2010 for diesel to drop back down near unleaded like it used to be. whiplash 11-07-2008, 07:28 AM $2.07 in New Bedford yesterday. Crafty Angler 11-07-2008, 08:36 AM Just called my home heating oil company - this mornings price is 2.65 - it was 2.55 a couple of days ago when I got a fill-up on my tenant's tank. I can't make the gas gauge move!! I have driven 205 mi since I saw you and I have used less than 7 gal of diesel. I am going to have to find a way to hide the decrease is fuel funding from my wife. Duke41 12-07-2008, 09:52 AM i predict 1.50 by next summer. I have insider information. Told ya!!!! I was late by 7 months though. My brother in law is a Texas Oil man. He told me it was all over last June. TheSpecialist 12-07-2008, 11:24 AM We are going to see it back under a buck, if oil keeps dropping. Mr. Sandman 12-07-2008, 12:02 PM yeah but the real question is what will it be next June? RIROCKHOUND 12-07-2008, 12:07 PM yeah but the real question is what will it be next June? Tell me about it. The price is ~40% of what it was... trip costs for fuel would be sub-$400 instead of $850ish.. Saltheart 12-08-2008, 10:17 AM $1.63 today! Started to hear people on the radio referencing gas at below $1.00 a gallon. Who know. Also saw that the saudies have discovered new reserves and are adding capacity to ship 20% more fuel. now that all the speculators have been bankrupted (hopefully) maybe the prices will be less volatile. The IRVING station on Rt 1 in Norwood had it at $1.59 an $2.50 for diesel. As long as the home heating oil comes down similarly, I'll be happy. Mr. Sandman 12-08-2008, 11:18 AM There has never been a better time in my life to buy a BIG american SUV than right now. Industry needs to move them, fuel dirt cheap and looking to go even lower, and interest rates are lowest in years. This past summer Obama that said we would never see $2.00 gas again...ever, and he was happy that fuel prices were up just thought the rate they went up was too fast. ...I wish that replay that over and over again. Another thing, now that fuel prices are cheap and oil compaines are hurting...are we going to bail them out?:rotflmao: Bernzy 12-08-2008, 11:28 AM I filled my tank for $1.47 / gal ( regular Unleaded ) last Friday. fishbones 12-08-2008, 11:43 AM As long as the home heating oil comes down similarly, I'll be happy. Home heating oil is down as low as $1.89/gallon this morning. Most places are in the mid $1.90's to $2.00 in my area. TheSpecialist 12-08-2008, 11:57 AM Home heating oil will probably stay right around 2 bucks a gallon for the winter, may even go up if the winter is as cold as today. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
