Flaptail 11-04-2008, 10:16 AM Don't dishonor those who fought and died for the right to vote, and in our country's history thier have been many who have dedicated themselves to that very cause. It's your country, vote for how you think it should be run and by whom. Don't complain if you can't get off your ass to do so, it's a sacred right. wheresmy50 11-04-2008, 10:22 AM I voted for Obama.. 8 times :hihi: Then it's only fair that you pay 8 times the tax increases . . . if he wins (and survives), of course. Vote early, vote often. Saltheart 11-04-2008, 10:29 AM Voted at 8 AM. No lines , in and out in 5 minutes. FishermanTim 11-04-2008, 11:57 AM By not voting, you have in essence, given up your rights to complain about ANY upcoming issue you don't agree with. I have siblings that hadn't voted in the past and I told them simply: If you don't like WHO is running, then at least vote for the referendum questions. You have to voice your opinion. Whenever I hear someone REALLY complain about an issue, I ask them if they voted. If they say yes, I acknowledge it and let them continue (they earned the right to complain). If they say no, I just tell them to be quiet, since they didn't bother to vote in the first place, they really shouldn't voice their opinion now. fishbones 11-04-2008, 12:15 PM Voted this morning. I've never seen so many people in line to vote, and I still can't figure out where all the people in pajamas came from. They definitely didn't look like they live in my town. tattoobob 11-04-2008, 02:07 PM I voted last Tuesday, Katie 11-04-2008, 03:20 PM Voted around 11:30 this morning, my first time voting. :D The Dad Fisherman 11-04-2008, 03:34 PM Congrats Katie :kewl: EarnedStripes44 11-04-2008, 05:10 PM on my way to vote now... GET OFFF THE DAMM COUCH AND GO VOTE. UserRemoved1 11-04-2008, 06:39 PM I went at about 2:45 in Uxbridge in and out in 3 minutes. I did write in MICKEY MOUSE for one vote. #^&#^&#^&#^& Moore was running for another seat and since he's the dooshwad that championed this retarded new Ma health care law forcing prescription drugs down everyone's throats 1/1/09 he wasn't getting my vote period. So Mickey was my write in candidate. My one vote isn't going to make a difference but it made me feel better he didn't get my vote. kenyee 11-04-2008, 06:47 PM 1hr 15min for me at 3:30pm (damn slow Boston people apparently can't look up names in the address book quickly)-: Left blank the vote for all those lame city incumbents who had no one running against them (why vote for them if there's no choice?)-: Voted Libertarian because the MA electoral votes are always Dem anyways. Enjoyed voting for repealing the income tax even though our politicians will ignore it like they did the 1990 ballot to bring our state income tax down to 5% (they promised to bring it back down after the budget was out of deficit but it's still 5.3%). 15min in line to get my free Ben&Jerry's scoop (and tipped the poor girls w/ ice cream all over their shirts and arms giving out free ice cream). Well...at least the cococut seven layer bar scoop was worth it.. :-) MarshCappa 11-04-2008, 09:24 PM Cruised in and out at 6pm. I thought it was crazy to see a legalization of marijuana on the ballot.:smokin: I also voted for the closing of the dog tracks. JohnnyD 11-05-2008, 12:45 AM Cruised in and out at 6pm. I thought it was crazy to see a legalization of marijuana on the ballot.:smokin: I also voted for the closing of the dog tracks. You were crazy to see that. Because *legalizing* marijuana wasn't on the ballot. BassDawg 11-05-2008, 08:45 PM By not voting, you have in essence, given up your rights to complain about ANY upcoming issue you don't agree with.
