First person that come to my mind is mikecc from M&D's in Wareham. Small family owned business where is wonderful wife and daughter both help out at the shop.

Right now he is closed during the week and just open weekends for now.

Best bang for the $ blank wise are the Batson Rainshadows. Those are getting harder to find due to crazy costs of shipping one piece blanks that are 10' or longer. :( I'm still fond of the older school Lamiglas fiberglass blanks, too.

Now a days lots of the production rods are have solid components and are styled like custom rods. These are imported of course, but offer huge value for the $.
