New EBA Fishing “EXPO” – January 4, 2009

Hello Everyone,

Just when you thought you would have to wait till spring to see stripers again, East Bay Anglers will bring you a full afternoon of striper-mania and it’s going to be one of the first fishing shows of the New Year…and one of the best! Everything about this show is new: new expo format, new afternoon schedule, new Fisherman’s Flea Market, and along with my seminar with its usual underwater focus, Crazy Alberto Knie will present an all new seminar on how to score from the shore.

John Redmond has crafted a really nice site for EBA at http://www.rifishshow.com. There's still a little tinkering to be done with the site (pictures for the gallery and press releases) but as always The Boss does a nice job...and you’ll be seeing a banner ad pop up right here at S-B.com

Tickets must be purchased in advance. Visit the site and order tickets today!

I’m busy editing the show right now and I’m open to suggestions for content. I’ll be drawing from some of the best material I’ve ever shot, as well as lots of material from this season. My primary focus is going to be on how to find trophy striper fishing hot spots and how to fish them. I’ll be providing an underwater look at what makes Charlestown Breachway, Brenton Point, Block Island, and other venerable striper haunts so productive.

What would you folks like to see? Let's truly make this YOUR fishing show.

Let both me and Crazy Al know what specific items or topics you would like covered in our presentations.

BTW, along with terrific door prizes and a monster raffle there’s going to be a Fisherman’s Flea Market where select retailers will be bringing in top name products at spectacular savings. We even have a special surprise retailer who will be there with some vintage products that will blow you away.

A major portion of the proceeds for this show will be going to Save The Bay and their efforts at restoring eelgrass and fish passages.

Looking forward to the show. I know, first time I met some of the people here was at an East Bay Anglers show many years back, will be good to meet some new people as well!

Thanks Mike! Yes, I like the way the site came out. We will be using this for a few years to support the show, which then supports other projects, like this year with Save The Bay.

Tickets must be purchased in advance. Visit the site and order tickets today! This is correct, not tickets at the door, only in advance (something about letting the venue and the FD know how many people are coming or something or other).

I suggest that maybe we could have some fun with this (in a good way). How do we embarrass Mike and milk Crazy Alberto for some goodies at the same time? Seriously :laugha: ?

This is actually a good opportunity here on S-B to dig in and maybe help define some of the content we want to see...

Good timing on the show. Its nice to break up the winter. Better than waiting until March or april for a show.

Excellent, I'm also wondering if a few people want to get together earlier for lunch before going over to the show. Heard there is a good Burger Joint over there somewhere...

Here is a link to the ticket order form: http://rifishshow.com/eba/images/stories/anglers/ticket-coupon.pdf

Remember, proceeds go to Save The Bay...

Thanks!
