So how do you think this game will shake out??? We are so beat up its not even funny! Never seen anything like it...we lose the best QB in the game in the 1st series of the first game and its been all down hill from there yet we are still 6-3 tied for first in the division??? Thats pretty good! Game is in Foxboro so I think we win this game in a close one......24-17!:musc:

pats should win because it is at Foxboro...Cassell has been playing better each week and if they let him open it up a little we will be OK. Favre is good for a pick or 2.

jets just signed Ty Law so He will be playing for them oj Thursday.....albeit in a limited role, not that he's a game changer anymore but it just adds to the drama

if they put Law on Moss it would be stupid, great for us but stupid for them.

I think it will be a close game , could go either way but i feel the Pats can pull it off but have to score more than 20 points to do it. That can be difficult against the Jets D. Bill will have a plan, and what's left of the roster will execute :pats2::patshelmet::pats::pats:

I will be there with standing room tix, and it is TROY BROWN NIGHT!!!!!:claps::claps:
I can't wait

My fellow Americans, change is coming.

Change is coming to the AFC East.

Our time is now. Our time has come.

We can stop Kevin Faulk from out of the backfied------ yes we can
We can stop the wide reciever screen to Welker -------- yes we can
Revis can cover Moss ------------------------------------ yes we can
We can cover tight ends ----------------------------------- yes we can
We can get some push on Wilfork for the first time ------- yes we can
We can run the ball ------------------------------------- yes we can
Farve can not blow it :hs: ------------------------------- yes we can

That’s what is happening in the AFC east – our journey may be long, our work will be great, but we know in our hearts we are ready for change, we are ready to come together, and in this game, we are ready to believe again. Thank you New England, and may God Bless America.--- and GOOOOOOOOOO JETSSSSSSSSSS:laughs:

Then there's "Law Firm", BenJarvis Green-Ellis.
It's nice to have this caliper of player on the practice squad, and even better that these guys get a chance to show their stuff!

It's going to be wet and wild, so expect more of a ground game.

This looks like a blowout in the making?
The D cant make a stop, and Cassell can't, get a ball in the end zone.
It's over before the first half.

Cassel can run but he has to work on his deep pass touch! Missed wide open Moss...again! He has 61 yards rushing.....a little better than Bledsoe in getting out of the pocket.....probably why they run him from the shotgun so much??

Give Cassel credit....he played a fantastic game! To drive down the field with 1:36 seconds left and hit Moss for a TD with 1 second left! Over 400 yards passing and 60 more rushing??!!! He played great! Sure his long pass needs work but thats not why they lost! Take that 92 yard TD return out of the mix and its a different ballgame! That should never have happened......but man can that guy run!

The Dad Fisherman
11-14-2008, 08:13 AM
Tommy would have suffered the same fate last night....Cassell threw for 400 yards and 3 touchdowns, don't think Brady could do much better....what the hell else can Cassell do. It was up to the coin flip.....and the fact they let them convert a 3rd and 15 from the 15 that did them in last night.

:bsod::yawn::yawn: what a game
but a coin flip and the D could NOT stop a third and 15 :whackin::smash:

that ending was brutal
getting home at 2:30 would have been worth it if they had won, the place was rockin though , most of the night anyway, but in OT once they got to the 50 or so it quieted down every first down. Give Farve credit I guess.

Cassell was good, real good but the rest of the team needed to step up more like Watson:wall: one TD don't make up for his ineptness.
I'm not sure what was up with that bad snap flying past Cassel, but it sure ended that drive :(
Really missed Ty warren and A Thomas tonight:(
that return TD was killer
coming back from 24-6 showed a lot of heart
some questionable calls went NY way, if holding on Vrable was correct, than why wasn't it holding on Law last play on Moss where he scored(not that it mattered but it would have if the reply overturned it)

the team better be prepared for Miami:fury:

Yeah I knew when we lost the coin flip it was over...Favre does not lose those games!

Its not easy being a Jet fan. I am happy they won but obviously a hollow victory. Almost had a stroke with 1 second left.

The Jets may be sort of a wildcard type quality team that gets knocked out in a round or two of the playoffs- if we are lucky. I would like to live to see the day when the Jets are a top 4 team in the league. If we blew you guys out after being up- then maybe I would feel differently.

But we still don't have a pass rush unless we blitz and we don't seem to be able to cover the underneath stuff. Our linebackers are big but slow. The offensive coordinator does not have any plays to respond to blitzes. Plus we have maybe one year of Farve -then we are nowhere. If you had your starters it would have been the usual outcome.

I can't believe we drafted Gholston (who will probably be one of the big busts in Jet history --and that is saying alot) and not Mayo.

It was a game to remember.

Don't sell yourself short, your team is improving just as ours is(or was till the latest injury bug)

how old are you

[QUOTE=how old are you.[/QUOTE]

I am old enough to remember being in my friend Lee Stone's backyard in November 1965 when his older brother tells us to come in and watch this quarterback the Jets got from Alabama. They were playing the Boston Patriots and - I looked it up just now- the Jets beat the Patriots 30-20. 43 years ago yesterday. Babe Parilli was the Boston QB and Nance and Garrett were the running backs. Interesting that the Jets were up in that game 24-3 and Boston came back to get within 27-20 before the Jets Jim Turner kicked a field goal to end it.

So I have seen it all and I sort of believe that Namath made a deal with the Devil to win SB III and we got the curse now.

I am like most old Jet fans- expect the worse but live and die with the team. I had seasons tickets for 18 years and only missed a few home games. J= E= T =S Jets Jets Jets

I admire your loyalty
NIB sticks with his Jets also
oods are eventually they'll win one again, but it is so hard in the NFL for things to go right to even get there let alone win it. with Brady out this year and Indy having trouble, this year might be your best shot unless Brett comes back again.

Babe was a damn good quarterback also.
