I am going to be painting a bedroom in the very near future. This is the second time in about 2 years that I am painting the same room.:wall:
Last time I sanded primed and put on 2 coats.

I am wondering if the process has to be repeated or will just 2 coats of the new darker color be alright? I am sure we have some talented painters on here, any help would be appreciated.

I would make sure you wash the walls at the very least...I'll be doing the same thing this winter so I am curious too...

it depends on the sheen of the paint that is on there now and how different the color change will be....try Ben Moore's Aura line for less coats and darker colors..
most likey you only have to scuff/wipe and put on a new top coat or two...

Give it a wipe down with TSP and your good to go.

I second that.Aura is expensive but is fantastic for drastic color changes.Self-priming and you don't need to maintain a wet edge between your cut and roll.
