You gotta love how he claims to have caught 80 fish that day, then you see the little snapper blue near his head....these are the same guys that need to catch their limit of six 7 inch trout to prove what great anglers they are.

Opening day of Striper season in Mass. All fish caught on Whitewater Tackle (unbreakable for sure!) Umbrela rigs. 35 five ish over 34 inches, we caught more than 80 fish all day!!

take a ride to north carolina when they open the commercials for the day. 40# bass like schoolies in a sein that's out for maybe 2 hours while the guys on the point can barely get a 15#er.

I think I recall reading that the bass shown in the second photo were buried on the beach because there were more caught than the brokers could take.

If these are the photos I'm thinking of, the bass were taken by net on the beaches of Virginia about thirty years ago.

The fish rotting on shore is a shame and the only consolation is that it was a long time ago.

I got no problem with the commercial fisherman taking their limit on the boat. That's what the law allows and that's what they did. work to change the laws. Its not fair to put the honest commercial fisherman down.

I will check for the complete story behind the photo's.. As I remember it was in NewEngland ,,maybe NY and it's only about 15-20 years ago.

I blocked out the guy's face as 2 not start trouble, But the ford trucks can't be that old !

That is so sad to see. I understand everyone has to make a living, but catching 10,000 pounds of striped bass more than the market could take... thats just ridiculous. Does anyone know when that particular event took place or if they still do that? It looked like those pictures were somewhat dated. Jeeze... it really makes ya think:confused: :(
