Looks like a fine and possible suspension for Matt Light. It was nice to see Randy Moss have a good game. Looks like Cassel is coming into his own.

Cassell is a free agent at the end of the year.

Wonder if the Pats will re up him for the money he's going to ask for.

Probably Not.....don't need a high priced back-up.

BigFish
11-23-2008, 10:09 PM
They will sign him...they need a QB to start the season as Brady more than likely will not be ready....or at 100% at the very least! They already said he would not be ready to start the season! Cassel is a product of this system even as great as he is playing I do not think he could last 3 games in another system!

Slipknot

They already said he would not be ready to start the season!

what? where did they say that?

maybe KC will grab Cassel

entertaining game for sure, glad the good guys won
Moss was awesome, single coverage and he made them pay
Welker on that long run was huge, did you see him get the wind knocked out of him and the tuff little chit got right back in after only missing one play? :btu:
Cassel once again had another career game

once again the officials were trying to effect the game by keeping it close = about 5 min. to go and the pats stopped them atleast a half yard short on third down, but the guy clearly places the ball well past the first down, gave him a full yard :hs: no matter though.

Penningtons pick throw to Hobbs was weird, who the heck was he tossing it to?

I hope Light isn't suspended, that was stupid of him

on the face the steelers, another tough game next sunday at 4:15 , more time in the parking lot beforehand :gu::gu:

It was reported right about the time of the infection news.....they said it would set him back and more than likely he would not be ready to start the season No matter how it plays out they HAVE TO sign him as he becomes a free agent after the last game of the season and it is 6 months before the start of the season and they are not going to know if Brady is ready to go until pretty late in that 6 month period...never mind the fact you need a reliable starter and he is game proven and raised in this system. They will sign him.:rtfm:

lite wont be suspended,

do u guys think were gonna have great quaterbacking next year? brady must be getting mad about hearing that cassels jsut as good as him and probly wants to show him up..

imagine if we get ocho cinco, our passing game will be unstopable

Slipknot
11-23-2008, 10:51 PM
no way ocho cinco comes here

Larry, that must have been the media saying that nonsense, the pats organization has never said one thing like that. He will be ready to go, count on it. Cassel will get more than the pats can afford for a backup.
Brady will be awesome next season

BigFish

 Guess we will see....but they will still have to sign Cassel!

Did you see Cassel's girlfriend on the news? May not be Gisele Bundchen but then again who is. I'd love to see Cassel stay and be groomed to take over for Tom Brady in case he isn't ready to start the season or in case he is damaged goods. But I can't see the Pats paying two QB's huge money. But it's a nice dilemma to have isn't it?

The Dad Fisherman

Time for Cassells big payday....he will sign somewhere else next season. he will be looking for a nice Multi year deal and, justifiably, he's done his time and deserves the chance to see what he can do in the NFL with his own team.

There will be no Ocho Stinko on the pats either...not with Moss on the team too. That would be the mother of all ego conflicts right there.

The Pats need to shore up the Defense....desperately, Chad looked like an all-star yesterday....that was sad, especially when he RAN IT IN FOR A TD  that was embarassing.

And Ellis Hobbs has got to go....he has got to be the worst tackler on the field. He looked silly yesterday missing to tackles on the same play.

He's been married to his long time sweetie for a year or so.

If they're as smart as I think they are, they'll franchise him and then trade him for a good player (hopefully a DB). That way, they can get something for him and control where he plays next year. If they let him walk with free agency, they get nothing for him and he could end up in their division and come back to hurt them. Belichick and Pioli are too smart to let that happen.

Sports talk show last night mentioned the Ford family, who own the Detriot Lions, are feeling out going after Scott Pioli as GM and Josh McDaniel as head coach to revamp their crappy team. Cassel is a product of the Pats and McDaniel so he could head there with them. Again, this is what was being discussed.
