Sounds like its been pretty quiet out this way.

The north country was great. The fishing was ok at best. Just good enough to keep things interesting. I think we went a little late this year as most of the weeds were dead thus leaving little cover for the bait in most of our traditional hotspots. Did pretty well working fin-s fish over the remaining weed beds.

But the weather, food, and company were great. Spent alot of time around a fire, did some star gazing. Put some hours on the boat. All in all, I had a heck of a time and I was pretty darn relaxed until I hit a parking lot at the I-95 toll booths on my way home. Added over an hour to my trip home... I hadn't been in a car in a week.

I'm not thrilled to be back, though I missed Brittany, and I suppose Karen too.

I know its not the same as 20-30lb. stripers or a bluefish blitz, but they do make rods under 9ft. and line under 20lb. test. and those cold water bass are pretty fun on light tackle. Plus, I don't have to whack a plastic worm against a rock to keep them from wrapping around my line.

Anyway, it was a good trip. Hopefully, I got some good pictures. And I can't wait to go back again.

Talk to ya soon.

Glad you had fun and you won't get any complaints from me if you want to talk bronzebacks. Next to striper fishing, trophy smallmouth bass fishing is my other love. I've been to Maine for two 4-5 day extended weekends this year, both were outstanding for both numbers and size. I had hoped to get up there one more weekend, but I'm trying to finalize a boat deal, so that put the skids on my plans.

Welcome back and tight lines.
