View Full Version : Telescope

Circlehook 11-28-2008, 09:53 PM I have a Mead telescope I really never use. Thought I would put it up here first.

Has a 5 1/2" lens, comes with 3 different eye pieces, tripod, and computer system with motorized drive to direct it to specific planets and constellations.

I have seen the moons of Jupiter and the rings of Saturn with this thing, but I never use it anymore. I do not have the instruction book, but I am sure one can be obtained by contacting mead.

This thing cost me $350 about 4 years ago and is in mint condition.

NEW PRICE $60.. I need this gone.
cape2fish 11-29-2008, 12:55 PM Circlehook,

I would like to see a photo or two. Can you provide the model number?

Thanks
Circlehook 11-29-2008, 01:39 PM I can't find a model number anywhere. I do know that the computer system says Meade Autostar. Here are a few pictures. Keep in mind the tripod telescopes up, so it can be another 2' or so when fully extended.
leptar 11-29-2008, 03:00 PM Wierd....

That might be the DS-127 not 100% sure...

I grabbed the manual for a friend last month for his DS-90...
Circlehook 11-29-2008, 03:46 PM Yeah Leptar, thanks, that looks to be correct.

It is odd that there is no model number on it, unless I am just not seeing it.

If anyone is interested in this, please make some kind of an offer, any kind of fishing related trade even. I just moved to an apartment, and have no room for this. These are so much fun.

Thanks for looking.

Circlehook 12-03-2008, 10:55 AM Not much to it really, just point it at an object and adjust the focus. I am a complete novice and I managed to find stuff.
