Hmmmm, I watched Katie Couric last night, on purpose, and guess what, she forgot to mention that the Illinois Governor Blagojevich is a Democrat.

Not one mention, Hmmm, must be old age, forgetting an important piece of information like that....:rollem:

Do you remember "Indicted Alaskan Senator Republican Ted Stevens"

It's because there are no republicans left in office after the last election cycle.

Do you think Obama's catch phrase will change to "I had no knowledge that this was happening"? or "I was not aware of that"?
No offense, but he's not even in office, and he's got his "plausible denialability" down to a science.
Exactly how many "shady characters" will he linked to during his administration?

According to today's news, after David Axelrod, Obama's media specialist,
said yesterday that Obama HAD talked to the Governor about the replacement of his Senate seat,
he retracted his statement today after Obama said he had NOT discussed his replacement with the Governor before or after his election. ?????????

Come on cut me a break.

Funny, dosen't even hold the top place for MSNBC News at MSN homepage... WTF if it were a Republican it would have a large scrolling photo in the top center of the page.

That's why I am in the "Other 49%" We're doomed...

executive branch official's political party customarily arent usually included in the press. Ted Stevens is in the legislative branch, hence, the tag.

not saying there aint no media bias.... but you dont hear "Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzeneggar", he is referred to in the press just as Gov. Schwarzeneggar.

Did you see the video of Axelrod making the initial remark? It clearly looked like he was just BS'ing to make it sound like Obama was in the loop.

Watching FOX News yesterday you'd think that they had Obama on the ropes and ready for the knock out punch.

It's nice that our country is at a major crossroads, and people want to tear our next leader down before he's even in office.

Country first my ass...

No i missed it Spence, i saw it, actually read it as the closed caption was on, at the deli today waiting for a sandwich.

Honesty and truth first on all sides, or we won't have a country, just a facade.

Obama's done pretty well off his books. His post-presidency memoir and speaking fees will be in the stratosphere. You think he's going to get mixed up in a halfwit graft scheme with a third-tier political figure?

He's a politician, which makes his character suspect like all politicians. But Obama's the kind of guy who if he's going steal, he'll steal big.

This point has been brought up before, but I guess selective hearing must be pretty integral to fabricated outrage.

Fabricated outrage? Hu?

Spence I was merely pointing out that after reading the story yesterday on MSNBC I had to Google search this idiot's name and go to three or four websites before I confirmed my suspicions that he was a "D"

And c'mon, are you honestly going to tell me that if it were a Republican who stepped in it, that's wouldn't be one mentioned in one of Katie's first three sentences?

Sorry, I must be one of the "sheeple" some of you guys love to mock.....

Hoop;
not taking Spence's side here, but Earned Stripes made a good point (That I had to think about to agree with).
I just searched Elliot Spitzer on Fox news; no mention oh him being a 'D' or an 'R' on anything they had, so I guess I'd agree that is standard not to put a Governor affiliation there...

Based on the elightenment by EarnedStripes, it would appear that you're the biased one rather than the media.

I can't think of the last time I've heard a state govenor addressed as a Republican.

your right spence, in fact, I learned that from one of your post. You are among the few whose insight and measured responses to the day's current events I've come to appreciate.

...and I cant forget fishbones, although we've disagreed being that we find ourselves on the opposite end of the political spectrum. He's irritatingly logical, just kidding about the irritating part. :tooth:

Thanks, ES44. I appreciate your comments as well as your political views on things here, too. And no need to kid about the irritating part. I've come to accept that it's one of my defining characteristics.

Just so you guys know.. There can be only ONE Govenor of a state. Its not like a senator or a congressman who are members of a certian party..

I think party affiliations are not as important when we talk about Governors.

just my 10 cents.. that is now worth 6. thanks George :hs:

Well, as a final word on this, I follow no party. Politicians answer to the dollar not the people. Rep, Dem, they're all the same. This country is for sale, this Gov. proved it. Pretty sad.
