Looking to see what everyone thinks is a very user friendly, versatile photo editor software? I am looking to load one on the laptop and looking for suggestions.

I would'd call it complicated, but it's not designed for ease of use. More of an Adobe Photoshop alternative. Posted via Mobile Device striperman36 12-20-2008, 04:11 PM so your choice would be? I find it extremely usable, Ive been using it for several years now. Always learning something new kenyee 12-20-2008, 06:24 PM download Picasa for the simple stuff. Use Gimp for the more complicated stuff. If you're doing this professionally, get Photoshop so you can use all the Actions/macros you can get for it... striperman36 12-20-2008, 07:20 PM Bah. Gimp Rocks and it's open source kenyee 12-20-2008, 08:47 PM Gimp can't read/use Photoshop actions. There has been an attempt at it, but no luck yet. Like I said...only matters if you're doing this professionally (wedding photog, etc.)... spence 12-20-2008, 08:52 PM so your choice would be? I find it extremely usable, Ive been using it for several years now. Always learning something new I use Gimp for most everything, but I used to do computer graphics professionally...so I may not be a good judge on ease of use. -spence striperman36 12-20-2008, 09:01 PM So you a Photoshopper? spence 12-21-2008, 08:54 AM So you a Photoshopper? Used to be, I'd rather use it than gimp...but...gimp is free :) -spence basswipe 12-21-2008, 10:32 AM Gimp is pretty damn good for a freebie for sure. Swimmer 12-23-2008, 12:34 PM Good question to ask. I don't think my current Photoshop 5.5 will work with my new HP because it is Vista loaded. I was wondering if there is anything out there better than the Adobe. I know there are newer version of that. Maybe I'll look at GIMP. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
