Couldn't have happened to a more deserving guy.

Their GM should join him on the unemployment line. It wasn't Mangini who came in his pants at the chance to sign a washed-up Favre---who by the way was never all that great to start with
The Jets would have been a 13-3 team this year with Pennington. They got handed the same creampuff non-division schedule the Pats did---AFC west and NFC west. They also got the 3rd place teams from the other AFC divisions while the Pats had to play the first place teams.

he is young enough to get another chance. He will learn as most do from mistakes in his first job. He was the victim of terrible QB play by Favre. Favre quit on them 6 weeks ago for some odd reason.

I agree with Mangini getting fired, he made some awful decisions in the Seahwawks game. But boy Farve did not help his case, he was horrible the last 5 or 6 games. In my book I did not think you can put him up there with the great qb's in history. Once again he led the league in interceptions, I wonder how many times he has done that.

. Tannenbaum got off easy. He should be called to task not only for the Favre debacle, but for a couple of horrible drafts as well. From DeBustashaw Ferguson to the Ghost Gholston, their drafts have stunk.
Especially when you consider that they passed over Mayo to take Gholston. :hs:

Worked out good for the Pats because they would have taken Gholston if the Jets didn't. They were very high on him also.
