I had one last week, my third. I guess if you are claustrophobic it would be intimidating for sure. I am just glad I am thin. I can't imagine being heavy set. They would have to use some butter. Thing that kills me is they give me headphones and ask me what kind of music I want . The problem is the friggin noise is so loud I can't hear a damn thing. When I was done they asked about the tunes and I said it would of been great if not for that stupid banging, ringing, buzzing noise. I also had to have an x ray of my eyes to make sure I didn't have and metal in there which could have been interesting.

I had them load me feet first. I could never, ever get into one of those skinny ones headfirst.
There are several models that are more open, square and round.

shop around, find an office that has one, verify your insurance covers them, and book it

MRI's rarely find anything useful in my experience... waste of time imho

everything is related to environmental situations or diet " i " think.

I've literally broken half the bones in my body.

I kinda find MRIs and CAT scans quite soothing. That's just me I guess.

I've had a few MRIs and CAT scans in my time but I still don't feel comfortable there. I was never offered music, but I had never been in for more than 10 min or so. Thankfully I'm not very big and don't get claustrophobic. I think I can thank my older brother for constantly locking me in small spaces when I was younger and clearing me of any claustrophobia.
