Could someone please explain the allure of these "musicians"?? Other than being a neat little marketing package for the brainless masses I see almost zero talent instrumentally or vocally??! I envy todays kids not one bit!:rollem:

Man,
You took the words right out of my mouth.I woke up to see the ball drop, kiss my wife, and had to see these goofy asses on the tube.As I said to my wife,I'm sure they just have a good agent.
Happy New Year All.

if you aren't a pre-pubescent girl, just ignore them and hopefully they will go away

Their have been entertainers making the little gals go gaga for generations....nothing new.

Old Blue eyes made the gals swoon...The Beatles were probably one of the 1st "Boy Bands"....New Kids on the Block, NSync, The Hansons.....always been around and always will be....I just choose not to watch them

I got an 8 year old daughter and I have heard that album enough for a life time. Just remember the Beatles and the spell they cast over the teenagers of the time. Although they were highly talented and being cute didn't hurt . These one hit wonders of today are more actors than musicians IMO. Don't forget that the 7 to 15 year olds rule the music business, yes business not music. I prefer the art form of music not the business form of it. Two different things.

Difference is....The Beatles had talent to go along with the package!

I know....I agree whole heartedly....but when they 1st came across the pond it was the Teeny-bopper girls that drove them to stardom.....and their 1st couple of albums were every bit as "Bubble-Gummy" as the boy bands of today

Old Blue Eyes and NKOTB and Nsync in the same sentence??Are you f/n kidding me? :yak6:

I know...its painful....just using him to make a point....all the girls would swoon for him.

Jonas Brothers make Maiden look stupid.I will never ever listen to Eddie and the Boys as long as the Jonas Brothers exist!!!!!!!!

They're the new flavor of the day, or month. My 5 year old loves everything about these guys. She just received the sheets to go with the poster on her door. She has both cds to go along with that. I have to read to her form one of those "bio" mags about them every night. Ever since Disney Channel was introduced to her it's all Jonas and Hannah Montana.
But, believe me, it could be worse than these guys; who I hear are clean cut and started as religious or christian pop/rock band. They have a new tv show starting and a Movie coming out in theaters.

Welcome to my world.
