I need to break down and get a drill press, a non bench top model. Needs to have a decent size table as I will probably put a sub plate on it so I can make some fixtures for it. I don't want a piece of junk so I am interested in any info you guys have towards different manufacturer's and the quality of the ones you own, and oh yes price too. I will keep looking in the want ads and would luv to get an old one as I can revamp anything that needs fixin. Come on VB sell me that antique one in your cellar before it seizes up from lack of use:)

That middle one has a foot pedal, nice thing to have as long as you are somewhat coordinated.

Thought it was a great machine . BUT after a year of use I have walk out in the chuck. When you tighten it you can't drop the drill assembly.
My Delta has 25years of use and is still in perfect shape.
IMO opinion go Delta.
