Hi,

I see lots of sites that help you make copies of youtube videos. Are any of these safe, and not just virus and spyware scams?

Thanks.

There are a few Firefox plugins that will do it for you. I've used Download Helper with success.

And if you aren't using Firefox as your browser, what's wrong with you? :bshake:

Thanks Raven, I used Orbit and it was great. My only beef is now whenever I want to look at email attachments etc I get Orbit wanting to download them. But nevermind that for now...

Now I need to edit these downloads into an separate video presentation. I need to know what to do with the .flv files I get. What do you recommend for slicing and dicing and pulling out clips to put in something else?

Thanks.

Have not done this yet but I found this: http://www.jakeludington.com/movie_maker/20070321_edit_youtube_videos_with_windows_movie_ma ker.html

PS - be sure to download the video converter, not the audio converter linked in the article: http://www.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Converter.aspx
