Took my new Lund for a ride this afternoon, when I finally got back with it around 3pm. Didn't have time to check out much, because the trailer lights aren't working yet, so I hit my town lake for a spin. Man oh man, now I know why you like the Lund so much, what a sweet ride compaired to the old Tracker. Speedo wasn't working, but my portable gps had me doing about 50 top end. I have to wait for my fishing buddy Pete to come out, before I see how far I can trim it up, as he's run the big engines before.

If youv'e seen Tim the Tool Man Taylor (TV Sitcom), I was doing some grunting out there and enjoying MORE POWER, lol. Backing up is going to take some education, because I'm used to turning my head and looking out the back window. No good, all I see is the bow of the boat. Guess it will be off to Walmart some quiet morning and educate myself on the mirrors.

By the way, you mentioned you guys might be looking into a trolling motor. I've got my 55# thrust Motor Guide up for sale and this boat came with a Minn Kota 48# thrust Auto Pilot, which I will also sell. I've got a Minn Kota RipTide 36V on order, because I'm going to need that 62 inch shaft and I live on my trolling motor and want that 107 #thrust. If your interested let me know, I put an add in the want advertiser, but you can have either one of these for short money.

Hope to ring out all the electrical tomorrow, another ride and once I have a comfort level, maybe a trip to the Power Plant in Plymouth for one last shot. Tight lines.

Hey there Got Stripers, glad to here you like the boat, it is awesome isn't it. You will love it!!!!! As for the trolling motor thank you so much for the offer, but we too are looking into the bigger ones as we will need to go that route on the 20ft boat. I can't rmemeber what you said you were getting, is yours the 20' Alaskan?

I picked up a 1996 1890 Pro V SE-DLX, with a Suzuki 150. It's a dual console model, carpeted decks, dual livewells and will be perfect for my kind of fishing. Rides sweet, just need to work out the wiring so I know what everything is and snake some 6 ga for the 36V trolling motor. Came in to the dealer at just the right time and I actually ended up paying $2,000 less than I would have for a new 20 Alaskan. Going to give me that extra range and safety I needed, tight lines.
