ProfessorM 01-23-2009, 12:40 AM Even thought I hate winter the beauty of it is awesome. Nice pics Crafty Angler 01-23-2009, 03:47 AM Great pix as always, Tynan19 - :kewl: - you've got a good eye - Wanted to let you guys know I haven't forgotten ya - I just wanted to take a little more time doing it since it's gonna be an 8x10 or larger eventually. I've been time starved lately, between Mrs Crafty being sick and finding out one of my dogs has a torn ACL, so I've lined up surgery for her at Angell Memorial Veterinary Hospital in Boston. Whoops, I mean my pooch not the missus...:hihi:..my bride's got meds that are finally helping... Anyway, check your regular email in the next week - Again, compliments on the nice scenics - you've inspired me to start shooting again in the winter - got my eyes on a Nikon D-90 and that way I can also use all my old lenses - Keep up the good work! Clammer 01-23-2009, 07:52 AM great photo,s [T} always enjoy your shots // great eye ;; Oh winter eye candy ><><>>< PaulS 01-23-2009, 08:04 AM Nice pictures - I've always thought winter pictures are more dramatic. I like the idea of having a digital HD movie camera in the D90. Thanks for the compliments. tynan19 01-23-2009, 08:02 PM Took a nice hike with snowshoes today. River was a lot more iced in than I thought it would be. Lost a full flybox under the ice so that pissed me off. Might have to head back with an axe. tynan19 01-23-2009, 08:04 PM Needed a tripod but found some branches to use. Jenn 01-24-2009, 04:23 PM oops lets try that again... Nice pics but dont you know everyone HATES winter? :jester: Photo Titles... #1-"Girl in the snow for Clammer" (heeheehee) :jester: #2-:faga:"Newly fallen snow" #3-"Opened the door to take this picture" (does it get any better that this?) FishnGrega 01-26-2009, 09:51 PM great photo,s [T} always enjoy your shots // great eye ;; Oh winter eye candy ><><>>< must be a fake background. it doesn't seem to be a tit-bit nipplie out :cens: tynan19 01-27-2009, 10:29 AM A few pics from our family hike yesterday tynan19 01-27-2009, 10:30 AM Felt good in the crisp air to be out. tynan19 01-27-2009, 10:32 AM Daughters first time sledding. Who's having more fun? TheSpecialist 01-27-2009, 10:36 AM Definately my wife, I was fighting a cold at the time and she was sledding with the baby. I think you should look into publishing some of your pics. They are awsome. Looks like you guys are having fun hiking, you got some nice country for that stuff you lucky dog. tynan19 01-27-2009, 11:36 AM That 3rd pic of them both smiling is awesome. striperman36 01-27-2009, 11:51 AM Tynan. you catch any fish? tynan19 01-27-2009, 08:04 PM Tynan. you catch any fish? Nope 5 min in my flybox slid into the water and got pushed under the frozen river. I went in after it as it was just sitting under the lip. When I jumped in I had dislodged a thick piece of ice from the shore and that floated down and took the box with it. Sucks as it was a full box. Went back yesterday and the river is up a foot with ice dams all over the place so who knows where it will end up. I will keep walking till I hopefully find it. striperman36 01-27-2009, 08:08 PM nice box, but now you have an excuse to tie more flies. let me know what you need, I'll whip up a few. tynan19 01-27-2009, 10:20 PM Thanks Bill. No excuse needed but lost some nice wet flies/streamers. Could always use some small dries which I can't yet tie, Royal Wulff, Adams. Hopefully we can meet up this spring. striperman36 01-27-2009, 10:26 PM those wulffs are PITA. that double wing post is a a pain, adams are bad, it's just a double palmer. Stay with the easy ones, the wets and streamers catch more fish than dries IMO tynan19 02-22-2009, 03:50 PM A few pics to add to the thread. A couple from some local ice fishing. tynan19 02-22-2009, 03:53 PM I wanted to get a start on some Shed Hunting and see where the deer where bedding down and what they were eating. The family wanted to come out into the woods for a nice hike in the snow. My youngest fell asleep almost as soon as he got in the back pack. tynan19 02-22-2009, 03:56 PM Tynan is already on his way to becoming an amatuer photographer. The Dad Fisherman 02-22-2009, 08:02 PM Great Pics :kewl:...the 3rd one in the second set....asleep on your back, is priceless..... tynan19 02-23-2009, 12:34 PM Yeah I am the one that should be napping! You Will....when they pick a good home for you :hihi: My Son says if I keep it up he's picking one out in Kansas for me..you know.....away from the water Jenn 02-23-2009, 06:36 PM T....nice pics but why the H$%^ aint you ridin?:wave: I am heading to ME friday but here some from VT from last weekend....... 1st pic was sunset on the DC line (after some snow) and3rd pic has a little sunshine poking through but it was STILL snowing. Snowed the whole 5 days we were there! tynan19 02-23-2009, 10:23 PM Nice pics. Heading to Fort Kent with Starfish for 4 days saddlebagging Aroostook County next week. Probably hit up Rangeley and the Jackman one more time. Haven't had the time to ride this year. Jenn 02-24-2009, 07:59 PM Millinocket area heading fri. after work and staying till tues. We day tripped to Woodford today...just got back.....HOLY SNOW! they got like 4 feet since friday. Will have to get some pics of that up for ya! I still cant beleive the snow. We were on a narrow secondary headed up a mountain and had to turn the sleds around. The guy we met coming the other way (he just turned around because the trail wasnt broke) was helping turn our sleds around.....next thing I knew I looked over and he was gone! well actually he just sunk up to his neck in snow! Wish I had the camera ready because no one will beleive me when I tell that story! It was pretty funny seeing just his helmet poking out of the snow! The time is NOW my friend.....it usually doesnt get any better that this! March can be a crapshoot and April riding is icing on the cake if you can get it! Jenn 02-25-2009, 07:23 AM They dont do it justice but here are some pics from yesterdays ride.... tynan19 02-25-2009, 12:30 PM March to me is the best month. Plenty of snow, warmer temps, more daylight! Great Pics. Jenn 02-25-2009, 06:01 PM you are right....March can be the best. Unfortunately some years it can be all over in a heart beat too! Thats why I find this time to be crunch time.....you just never know how much longer you have! :uhuh: get out every chance you can! tynan19 02-25-2009, 11:00 PM Keep an eye out for my brother and friends. He rides a Black and Red 600 sdi. Black and Red Gear as well. He is riding in Milli this weekend too. Drives a Grey Titan pickup. Have a great weekend. jimmy z 02-26-2009, 05:25 AM Very nice shots of you and the family, Casey. And Jenn at the rest, very nice pics. Jenn 03-04-2009, 07:28 PM T-cant tell ya how many red & black 600's we saw! Any way.....theysalottashnowuptheyra! She's no mountain sled but we tried anyway....:) tynan19 03-09-2009, 08:16 PM Nice will post pics of our trip tomorrow. Starfish rode her rev for the first time. We did 750 miles in 3 full days of riding. She also broke her speed record. Jenn 03-10-2009, 08:18 AM Yes pics please! How are they holding up there? NEK got took a big hit this past weekend with the warm temps. Still plenty of base but they dont groom unless its cold and things were getting bony in and out of town. 750 Miles in 3 days? Thats pretty hardcore!:gu: at that rate shes gonna need a new one soon! HA!HA! I have over 3k on my sled (since end of feb 08) I am thinking its time to trade her in towards the leftover renegade (I am GONNA make it up that mountain dammit!) I saw at the dealer for dirt cheap this weekend....:rotflmao: ok so I am dreaming....but it was DIRT CHEAP for a renegade :crying: which hurts to walk away from and they had three of them :crying: not to mention that dealer treats you right to boot. Allright Starfish give it up! how fast? :heybaby: tynan19 03-10-2009, 10:24 AM I think this is why they call it God's Country? Looked like you could ride right up to the sky. tynan19 03-10-2009, 10:28 AM Wife's longest ride to date. Our trail to the house overlooking Ft. Kent. We had to have a beer at the top after a long ride. A trail shot near Portage Lake. tynan19 03-10-2009, 10:32 AM Wife overlooking the St. John River Valley and New Brunswick in Frenchville. Lots of old equipment on the fields all over the county up there. Starfish in front of the Ft. Kent Trail System Sign. tynan19 03-10-2009, 10:37 AM Wife's fastest rip to date. I couldn't keep up with her and my friend. Took a ride up to Estcourt Station. The highest point to go in Maine. Border crossing to Quebec. Wife overlooking the fields of Ft. Kent. tynan19 03-10-2009, 10:40 AM A couple trail shots. I didn't get many pics of the trails since I was too busy riding them to stop. We got rained on for the last 30 miles on our way home Sunday. Still lots of snow but it was getting soft. tynan19 03-10-2009, 10:41 AM Looking at a few Gades myself. The holdovers are at a good price and my dealer has to etecs left. tynan19 03-12-2009, 08:02 PM Taking a trip with the kids to The Forks this weekend. Should be a good time. Jenn 03-13-2009, 04:52 PM Have fun, be safe! Spring riding tends to bring out the crazies on the trail.... Were headed to VT....there is a previously un-conquered mountain thats been haunting us and needs to be climbed before the window of opportunity slams shut! If if mother nature holds out next weekend will be another trip way up..... After tomorrow I should have a bonafide 2K season :nopain: Jenn 03-15-2009, 10:55 AM Well there are still spots with a minimun 2 foot base (can you believe there is a 3 foot base below me in that first pic!) but getting to those spots is going to be hard after this week. The fat lady is singing in VT. We did make our mountain and our 100 mile ride so I cant complain I didnt reach my riding goals for the season! Temps were in the teens but we kept overheating up the mountain. Can you say bulletproof snow? T19 hope Maine was good to you! And hope its holding up well there (in case I just HAVE to make one more ride LOL) tynan19 03-17-2009, 11:46 AM We had a great time. Still 4-5 ft of snow in the Mntns. My friend grooms a .37 mile loop around his house for the kids to ride the kitty cats and 120 around. Both boys also got a ride in the old groomer. tynan19 03-17-2009, 11:48 AM The temps were crazy, on Sunday we went for a 55 mile ride in 55 degree weather with the boys. We also climbed to the lookout on Coburn Mnt. tynan19 03-17-2009, 11:52 AM I got a bunch of videos on my camcorder and a couple on my digital. Here is one of Tynan on the 120 riding around the yard. http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/ll309/tynan19/?action=view¤t=P3146651.flv Another of the old groomer grooming the yard. http://s291.photobucket.com/albums/ll309/tynan19/?action=view¤t=P3146638.flv tynan19 03-17-2009, 11:58 AM A pic of Ty in the groomer "old greenie". Conner fast asleep after little ride. I had to hold him for ten miles so he wouldnt fall off. A shot of another groomer being maintained. tynan19 03-17-2009, 12:00 PM Both boys got unitentional air on the small sleds. Tynan got a solid ten feet off a rockpile and Conner went over the walkway embankment. MotoXcowboy 03-17-2009, 02:55 PM nice, i miss sledding this year. looks like yall had a great time. that place looks cool, i like the arial pictures Jenn 03-18-2009, 05:43 PM Nice! By the way dont you know if you wear polarass gear on a ski dog you upset the snow gods and will likely get stuck?:hihi: JK tynan19 03-31-2009, 02:55 PM Stuck way too many times on Sat. Look what happened to my friend that was riding too close to my bumper when we hit a mudd puddle. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
