About time. long overdue. I use that ramp probably 40 times a year. Now if they would just make it a double wide ramp with 2 docks I would be thrilled, but I'm not holding my breath. What will they do with all that extra sand . Looks like a lot. Maybe have a real channel now. Wow. Thanks for the update.

I attend the town Sandy Neck Board Mtgs (of course I do...lol) and they give us an update at each meeting.

I remember that some of the sand from the inner harbor chanel was the wron granule size and was to be trucked away so I assume that is what is in the lot.

The dredge is currently about half way through "the sticks" and that sand is all getting pumped to a depression in the big dunes behind and to the left of the cottage colony.

I am going to try and find out how far out and where in the main chanel they are going to go. I know this has been planned for a few years.

Hey Paul, I didn't realize you were a person of the boating persuasion -

Not that there's anything wrong with that -

It's been going thru my mind, lately - but I'm gonna hold out as long as my moving parts are still moving -

Yes I do the majority of my fishing by boat and have for the last 10 years, although I also frequent the canal quite often. Maybe hit the sand 5 times a year, if that. That area in the post is where I do 95% of my fishing. I have slept in that parking lot many a nite after work waiting for dawn. I just find that fishing by boat to be more satisfying. I have also been a member of the MBBA for 20 plus years but I have not had a vehicle on the sand in a decade so that has eaten into my beach outings. I still love the beach but I just prefer to look toward it while I fish.:uhuh:
