Without a doubt any time you chum its going to attract fish From tiger sharks to trout

Yes. We used to chum with a little sprinkle of oatmeat for perch. Bring 'em right around. No reason why guts wouldn't work.

Perch seem to really love areas where there's a lot of smell and action. It seems like when you start catching perch it attracts more perch so chum would definitely help there.

Old Indian trick for ya......stick your butt in the hole and blow bubbles.....I hear it works great........they pop right out the other holes like a geyser hit 'em.

crushed egg shells soaked in fish oil work well also...another good attracter that works as well as any bait is an air stone..... drill a hole a few feet away from where your fishing, using a portable airator, drop a stone down below the ice.... any fish in the area will be attracted to the bubbles....
