I was given an old Lami rod. The blank #1165 was on the butt section. It has a#12tip and the butt mikes out at 1.06. By the specs in the Mudwhole catolog it might be a sb1362F. I am planning to cut down this blank to 10' or 10'.6". I will mainly use this for pencil poppers and plugs 1.5oz.-4oz. This rod was used in it's full length 136" for chunking and it's at least 25 yrs. old. It is in good shape and I stripped the blank and ck'd it for nicks and cracks. All is O.K. With it's age do you think the resins would hold up. It hasn't been fished for 13-15yrs. Any info and suggestions would be appreciated.

if it hasn't been sitting in the sun, it should be ok. the hard part is telling when it may give up the gost. It's a chance you'll have to take. The only way to find out is wrap it an use it . best of luck..
