That being said, I'm not afraid to try anything at any time. Sometimes the fish will suprise you. numbskull 02-18-2009, 11:34 AM I've done pretty well with fluorescent green above silver above white the last several years.....both day and night. So much for "match the hatch". steve 02-18-2009, 11:44 AM George ,That was one of my favorite color combos on needlefish plugs on BI in the 80's. Got a 51 on a Gibbs needle in that combo. I have a brandy new BM junior in that shade. I 'll have to try it this season. Thanks Mr. Krinkle 02-18-2009, 01:16 PM I'd have to say yellow. Canalman 02-18-2009, 01:43 PM White and white bart 02-18-2009, 02:31 PM white with pink stripe day or night JohnR 02-18-2009, 02:35 PM A Yellow, White, or bassmasters herring B White, Black I have not gone to Dannys as much as should though as of late - usually working during danny-time :bsod: Steve K 02-18-2009, 03:29 PM Yellow over white for both Nocturnal 1 02-18-2009, 03:36 PM Red/white Pete F. 02-18-2009, 03:49 PM White Blue top and white White belly, gold and black top all have red chin BigFish 02-18-2009, 06:07 PM Bunker......period. It mattered not what plug I was throwing last year or when......they were crushing anything I threw in bunker! It has a white belly....color breaks to silver and has the green/scarlet/yellow on the sides with the dots........it accentuates the action and they seem to like it?:tooth: Rocco34520 02-18-2009, 06:31 PM Larry that bunker pattern is . But for me its usually just white when it comes to danny's. luds 02-18-2009, 06:57 PM traditional herring, white, or yellow white by day white, yellow white, and blurple by night. i don't think much of surface swimmers at night but there are times. snake slinger 02-18-2009, 07:11 PM a dont fish much during the day b black or blurple jimmy z 02-18-2009, 07:29 PM At night, any color. If there are bass around and I'm using a Danny, I'll be havin' a BLAST!:btu: BS4Shore 02-18-2009, 07:31 PM yellow/white black or pollack Kratos 02-18-2009, 10:41 PM Red/white or red/yellow day or night. MAKAI 02-19-2009, 12:33 AM Let me see, surface swimmer meaning the back is only visible to gulls. Pretty much most fish have white belly color, I'll take white. Sub surface I like to match the hatch, with natural colors. I am sure fish see very different than us. Color perception is not the same. Night vision is much better than ours. . etc . . .etc. Sportfishing magazine had an article about fish vision and color changes under water, interesting stuff. But have seen a lot nutty things happen over the years its not an exact science. Flaptail 02-19-2009, 06:40 AM Black & Gold White (pearl) Yellow/silver,pearl white those are my basic, "start with these" choices but not all under the same conditions or on the same type of plug (ie; yellow under a full moon danny or needle) There are other color combos in my bag as well that change on a rotating basis. Fish can get finicky some times. NIB 02-19-2009, 07:23 AM I would have to say my favorite color is flo chartruese to yellow. Gunpowder 02-19-2009, 09:08 AM white with pink stripe day or night yahhh... thats a deadly color day in and out i think too vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
