What appears not that strong may indeed be much stronger because there is only a straight pull. I will try them this spring however I do have about 500 backlash clips that work fine and I will use. ReelinRod 02-24-2009, 03:28 AM The design of those clips is stolen from Breakaway. Breakaway for many years has sold "Split Oval" snaps. I should add these clips are the only "shockleader to sinker" clip approved for competition in Sportcast USA casting tournaments and are supplied to contestants. 32119 keeperreaper 02-24-2009, 05:47 AM I'll stick with the breakaways thanks. Never had an issue with one. mikecc 02-24-2009, 08:38 AM Actually the design was a variation of Rosco scissor snaps. They have been making them for years bobber 02-24-2009, 11:25 AM yeah- looks like a McMahon snap........ they're kind of a pain in the ass to use. I'll still tie direct......I like my knots vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
