Here is the reel. SN is 4669. I am guessing USA made as it was purchased in 2003 by original owner.

What kind of shape is the reel in? Is there any grinding when you reel? When was the last time it was serviced?

It is in great shape, no grinding or noise whatsoever. According to the previous owner It was serviced yearly but not in 2008 but was not used in 2008. I bought the reel Thanksgiving week, and have not used it yet.

I am only selling bc I am not too fond of gold. Here is a reply from VS regarding warranty transfer:

"Thank you for the information. Since buying this reel used, warranties do not transfer. The SN# 4669 the first time you have it serviced you will be charged for the service fee, all parts needed, and shipping. It will then be under a service warranty if you send it in yearly. You will then only be charged service fee, wear items (handle bushings and line roller) and shipping.
