Looked at my prop yesterday, more dings this year and one blade is a little bent. I've heard a machine shop can grind it down, anyone know of one in the SE MA or RI area and roughly how much?

They do a good job and have always been honest with me... Mr. Sandman 03-09-2009, 02:40 PM I picked up a card from someone at the RI boat show a few years back. They were out of Newport . I had them recon a SS prop and it looked like new when I got it back. I think they were called Ocean Props. Be careful with someone who just grinds it down...there is a little more to it depending on the condition, a blade could be slightly off relative to the other blades too. I would suggest you go to a place that has a Prop Scan machine so that when you get it back it is correct. It is not that expensive if it does not require a lot of welding. MakoMike 03-10-2009, 09:47 AM I've used Mike at Ocean Props in MIddletown. He did a real nice job. Price depends on how much work needs to be done. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
