Easy there, I am in need of that coupon and appreciate the link. Just because you have internet does not mean you have the means to shell out the dough to pay for television every month thru cable companies. So yes I have internet, thru work and no I do not have cable tv. Air reception only jimmy z 03-26-2009, 04:47 AM Growing up, no one had to pay to watch TV. Look where we have gone. And those cable T.V providers are just another service looking to be regulated. Shame on them. Swimmer 03-26-2009, 10:36 AM I have one tv on direct tv and two others on rabbit ears. Backbeach Jake 03-26-2009, 11:32 AM No Cable for me in Truro. I got boxes last year. Was surprised at the huge improvement. a lot of sub-channels and clear picture. vineyardblues 03-26-2009, 12:34 PM I already picked up my box, just waiting for them to cut over ... As a FYI you will need an antenna as well . I was told it will not work with out one! VB Raven 03-26-2009, 12:40 PM the problem with TV now even though the $ price $ for reception is getting way out of control is that your Paying to watch More commercial advertising in time than you are the program you want to see. we've totally lost the continuity now so much so, that by the time you watch your tenth or twelfth commercial you've forgotten the plot of the original program. :hs: it just plain sucks Joe 03-26-2009, 02:16 PM I've kept cable, but I've given up on people and saved a lot of money that way. Raven 03-26-2009, 03:23 PM your ahead of the curve then Circlehook 03-26-2009, 05:21 PM I F'n hate Comcast. My bill last month was $240!! :fishslap:They decided to double it for no reason. Two phone calls to them, and 45 minutes of my wasted time and they corrected the problem and gave me $20 credit towards next month. Every month is some new charge or billing error, seriously considering direct tv but I will still have to use Comcast for internet. spence 03-26-2009, 05:32 PM I've kept cable, but I've given up on people and saved a lot of money that way. VB Vineyard- Try hooking your box up now. You might find that it works and your reception will improve. I've had mine hooked up since December. I don't have cable either. Use my neighbor's wireless, and have no home phone, only cell. Dropped cable last summer. I realized that all I watched on cable was sports. Now I head to a friends house or bar when there is a sporting event I need to watch. macojoe 03-27-2009, 12:02 PM I got my boxes a few weeks ago, I have Fios and don't need them. But I have a camper that we use every summer and that has regular TV and will be using it for that. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
