Mike P 04-02-2009, 02:13 PM Just for S&G, I nuked Otis and found out that not only wouldn't I be vaporized instantly, I wouldn't even suffer second degree burns, with a 450 kt explosion. This doesn't tell you anything about the blast, though, and whether you'd get impaled on an uprooted tree or have a car slammed against you  I also think this assumes a ground level burst. An air burst at 2500' might show you a whole 'nother picture :gorez: Raven 04-02-2009, 02:23 PM no sound eastendlu 04-02-2009, 02:29 PM Tough crowd:hidin: JohnnyD 04-02-2009, 02:36 PM Just for S&G, I nuked Otis and found out that not only wouldn't I be vaporized instantly, I wouldn't even suffer second degree burns, with a 450 kt explosion. At least, the bombs dropped on Japan show what I think is a comparable radius to what actually happened and those were exploded in the atmosphere. spence 04-02-2009, 05:15 PM It looks to be limited to direct thermal damage, and seems pretty conservative. Although I'd rather be vaporized than die a slow death via radiation. -spence vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
