Figured I have nothing to lose getting word around...

Unfortunately these cases are increasing all around, and in my case I'm pretty sure I know who is responsible (same old suspects, different day), but until I can get other avenues that I'm working on moving in my favor, I'd appreciate it if you could please keep on the lookout for anyone trying to sell a 2002 metallic tan Nissan 5-HP Outboard. It was stolen in Wareham, so it'll likely show up in the general area from Wareham to New Bedford to Brockton to Cape Cod. The S/N is: 24463, and also, if you take off the engine cover, I inscribed a black “S” on the engine block in permanent ink. If you run across it or something similar, please feel free to drop me a tip at thunder_rod@yahoo.com (thunder_rod). If it leads me to the motor and/or confirms who the scumbags are that are breaking into my property and ripping me off, there's definitely a reward coming to you.

If nothing else, I'd love to make it tough to unload and Keep them from getting rewarded for being low-life pieces of human waste.

Thanks!

-John-

That really sucks Thunder. Obama needs to come up with a plan to remove all the thieving germs that prey on others. In any case, do keep an eye on Craigslist. I guy on S-B.com lost an outboard motor a couple of years ago and recovered it by finding it for sale on C-list.

Good luck!

John,
Sorry to hear that. I will keep my eyes peeled. I am your neighbor across the street. Yes the one with the rat dogs. Feel free to exterminate the long haired dog if you have to :bl:. Just joking but not really.

Thanks to everyone...

Yeah, been checking c-list daily... and I also posted an ad. The motor is a pretty unique model to this area, so there aren't many like this around. It's real easy to identify, especially since I have the s/n, it's registered with the EP's, and I also marked it on the engine in a couple spots. Even so, I don't expect to find it per se, but I would like to make things as difficult as possible, and I also need to find out what I'm dealing with. This is not the first time, (and the frequency is increasing). At present I'm expanding the security, but that takes a little time and $$

Mike... yeah, you think? (roll eyes). I have no doubt in my mind. I have feelers out in certain segments in town trying to confirm just that.

Hey Rudy, thanks. Yeesh, I've been meaning to say hi for so long. I knew Rob over the years, but when he left I kinda got confused as to who was who, so I kinda stayed to myself, (I've indirectly fished with Dave though, heh-heh). Those lil fellas, I felt really bad about waving them off, but they kinda started claiming (and fervently protecting) more and more surface area of my yard against, um, well, me (and wife/kids), heh-heh. :btu: I don't suppose I could borrow them to guard the property for a few nights? (our cats are rather useless in this regard... and um, well, in "every" regard come to think of it)

Rudy, feel free to drop me a line. Let's talk a little and I'll fill you in on some stuff. thunder_rod@yahoo.com (thunder_rod) Didn't realize you were a fisherman, so it's probably about time we got out and did some, eh? (um, got any oars?)
