These shots were taken yesterday morning at GS Birthplace. The run is in good shape and has been heavy with fish for several days now...even spotted an eagle overhead.

Mouth of the river should have large showing up soon.

Good hunting,

Mike

There 's a tree that had fallen across the river. Good to see it didn't stop them.

Mike, great shots! Everyone has told me that the "run" is great this season at GS. That means bass fishing will be good at the mouth next month and early june. Thanks, Steve

There has been a chunky fresh water bass waiting for them as they go through the ladder

Thanks for the kind words regarding the herring shots and my past DVDs. Here are a few more herring shots to give you a bit more of a herring's eye view of their return from the sea.

I would hate to imagine a spring when river herring no longer make the journey...because they're all gone -- we have to curtail the bykill on the mid water trawlers.

You must bve dangling sand eels or something else on the end of a stick to be able to photo them so close.
