Would like to replace bearings etc on my trailer -- Are there kits will all that is needed - seals etc... Should I order online or go to the local West marine?

I have never done this but it does not look difficult just messy -- Help or ideas appreciated

most bearing kits come with bearing seals and races for one wheel apiece, you need something to pound the races out if they are toast, and something to drive them back in, you can rent that stuff at autozone etc...other than that it is grease and lots of rags, also, easier to knock the races in and out if you leave the wheel on the hub

I just did mine. Went to Bennys. I got both sets of bearings and bearing buddies real cheap. Real easy to do.

West Marine sells a kit the whole drum ,kit has everything you need you just have to know the size of youre axle rod (I dont know the name of it ) its the rod the drum slides on , there 1" or 1.5" but they are easy to put on just slide the drum on slide bearings on tighten screw put cap on and fill with 90 gear oil .. no packing the bearings and you can see how much oil is in it so you can fill if needed.. I bought them a couple of years ago they were only $50.00 Im sure they have gone up I saw them online the other day West Marine good luck ...Moosh Turbo lube

Slips Marine also carries the hubs, prepacked and ready to install. I carry a spare with me. $68.00 each I believe.

I have seen those, but am concerned about breaking the case and draining the lube.

I would stick with standard bearing and lube, like most people on this thread have said, keep spares with you, you never know when you'll need the crash cart!
