Bought one at Best Buy today using the coupon, so the box only cost $14.00 plus tax. Put it together in my wifes little room where she does crafts and the tv comes in better than ever. It has 27 stations that she can tune in. Picture is awesome, although a couple of stations had a weak signal. I call her in the room and the only thing she says is, "can you get rid of the black bar traveling from the bottom of the screen and disappearing at the top"? Not the least bit annoying to me, or will it be to her after a few minutes of watching. Afterall, the TV only received about five stations before I attached the box to it. If it works on your current antenae, its worth the bother. They did have more expensive antenaes at Best Buy, up to $80.00, but we took the chance the tube would work with the one that came with it.

Thanks for the info on the box. Does it get FOX? I got the coupon in the mail and was thinking about getting the converter to use on a tv outside in the summer. I'd like to be able to watch the Saturday baseball games on FOX while relaxing outside by the pool.

we got ours last year. yes it gets Fox. Some of the channels have sub-channels. 44 has 44.1, 44.2 etc.

I have one of those boxes. Doesn't work too well for me, only get a channel or 2, possibly 3 if you don't move. Think it might be my antenna. But all that aside, it is great picture when I get the channels in :D

It works great until it rained for a couple of days. Just using the antenae we got with the TV originally. They have more expensive ones for indoors, but I don't see them working any better. Katie when you turn it on go to analyze and the convertor box will scan for all the stations available to you in your area and then it will allow you to access them.

My buddy bought a large outdoor antenae and he says its works great in all weather and he gets like 40 stations.
