Not sure if this info has been posted or not, I grabbed it off another site.
"All inshore Atlantic anglers beware: Maryland's gov. elect Ehrlich is already peeling away the infrastructure set in place to protect the striper fishery and the Ches. Bay in general; according to the paper this week he fired 8 non-political environmental officials who had been working to revive the bay and striper populations for a decade and said he would install his own (inexperienced) apointees. Don't forget that 50% of the stripers from Maine to NC are spawned in the Ches Bay--this affects most of you wherever you fish! Anglers need to pre-empt the new government in MD and make it clear to Ehrlich that they insist on maintaining the striper recovery and Ches. bay restoration--call 800/811-8336 or 410-974-3901 to reach his office and express your views. He hasn't done anything bad for the bay yet, but we should make the public's views on this matter clear before anyone in the new state government starts fiddling with the regs now in place to keep the fishery & the bay strong!"
