Stopped by the local shop to stock up on early run favorite colors. Bags of four have been replaced by new packaging of 3 at a much higher price. Shop staff reports many colors no longer in production.
Price increase due to petroleum based plastics(?).
I did like the look of the new Storm eels

I've been using the Tsunami shads. Used them last year with some pretty good success. They seem to be cheaper than any other equivalent alternative.

how heavy are the 9inch storm shads. i went on saltwater edge and they have them listed as 2-3/4oz and that seems much lighter. also they have the 6inches at 7/8oz and that seems way to light.

are these the correct weights?
if not can someone post or give a link to the correct ones, and the same for the tsunami shads..

I checked my stash of my older 6" shads. 7/8 is correct.
Don't have the packaging from an older 9".

They weigh more than they say, a lot more.

I stocked up ont the big ones a couple weeks ago. Pretty sure the weight listed is the weight of the lead insert and not the total weight of the bait. The 9” shads weigh in at around 6oz or a little more. 7” I would guess around 4oz.

Cool Beans,
Those are the exact ones I use most often. I have some of the Storm Shads as well, and the Storms do look a bit nicer.

2-3/4oz is definitely light for the 9" shads, it was my understanding that they were near 4-5oz if not more. The 6" shads I have are 1-1/2 - 2oz.

Edit: I think JHL is right on, that the listed weight is just for the lead insert.

I stocked up on 9" storms a few years back when Decathlon Sports went out of business. I have close to 2 dozen.

The Tsunami's are a good bang for the buck. I prefer them over the Storm's. IMO, they are still priced reasonably.:)
