Just called my mother and interrupted the second inning of the ball game to ask how her doctors appointment went today. She said Sunday she had to have another m.r.i. Tuesday to check for why she is having so much pain in her back. She has had her disks fused three times in the last 8 to 10 months. She wasn't talking about that doctor though, although getting more glue work is on the agenda.

So I call her and ask how it went today. Mom says, "oh I have great news, I don't have cancer in my back. I didn't know the oncologist would tell me that. Whatd'ya mean mom. Well I thought he was only interested in the stomach tumor. I didn't he would check in my back for cancer. Du'oh. Isn't that good news. Yes Mom it is. O.K. the game is on, I'll see ya. O.K. mom.

The ocologists just wanted to make sure that none of the pain mom is in for the deteriating disk came from anything cancerous. It doesn't, so that is good. However, the disk doctor says she has two more disks that need to be glued, number 1 and 2, or 2 and 3 up from the bottom. Last week she was in getting test done everyday. I think an elderly person with good insurance is like a car crash ring is to scam artist. One guy crashes the car and then ten jump inside before the cops get there. The doctors are keeping my mother healthy, but it seems there is always another one jumping in on her health issues.
