Hi everyone. With the start to the new fishing season upon us, I figured it was time to get on this site. Since was old enough to stand, I've fished the lower/outer Cape for stripers. I even got to spend a few years working in a bait & tackle shop on the Cape for a summer job...wish I was still there! But, I graduate from URI in 2 weeks, and the real world is unfortunately just around the corner. I just got a new job and will be moving to the Newport/Middletown/Portmouth area of RI later this month. I don't know of any of the fishing areas in RI, but Aquidneck Island sure seems like a fisherman's dream. I'm hoping to find some nearby surfcasting spots this spring! Hopefully I will be able to learn a lot from these forums about my new location, as well as give any advice I have picked up through my time fishing the Cape.

Brad - welcome - plenty of places to fish where you're going to be. All along the drive, to all of the ocean pointing points :hihi:

Next fall, join the Newport Club, great bunch of anglers, with the best club schedule - Nov-April
