When you come off of the 138S exit ramp just after the windmill, you loop around pretty hard and the thing is right there all up in your face with those big ole blade going around. Wooooop, wooooooop, woooooop... When it's facing right at you it completely freaks your brain out as it's trying to focus on the road but can't because the blades are messing with your peripheral vision. I've just about hit the curb more than once. Other than that I think it looks cool. I was surprised at the ROI. -spence JohnnyD 05-11-2009, 11:24 AM I think the biggest reason people are against these projects is the NIMBY concept. Most people think wind turbines are a great idea - as long as the turbines are far from where they live and play. Otherwise, the turbines are considered an eyesore and people are against them. Then you have the Earthy-Crunchies that complain about the turbines having an effect on birds and bats. Yet ignore the thousands of animals kills by cars every day. likwid 05-11-2009, 12:32 PM When it's facing right at you it completely freaks your brain out as it's trying to focus on the road but can't because the blades are messing with your peripheral vision. But for some reason I dont think it's going to happen. The cosmetic piece of being able to see it doesnt bother me, the tax thing is a different story.
