Pump directly into basement sink or drain. Only way to go and worth the money vs the manual empty models (even if free) striperman36 06-08-2009, 05:41 PM If you are going to replace one, just be sure you get one that you don't have to empty manually. Pump directly into basement sink or drain. Only way to go and worth the money vs the manual empty models (even if free) I bought a condensate pump for a central air system, ran a hose from the dh tank in the pump, that has a float in it and into the slop sink. like 35 bucks at hd MarshCappa 06-08-2009, 08:57 PM If you are going to replace one, just be sure you get one that you don't have to empty manually. Pump directly into basement sink or drain. Only way to go and worth the money vs the manual empty models (even if free) I know, if i had a basement worth it I would. It's a 1/2 earthen 1/2 slap with rubble stone foundation. It's semi dry and I have stuff off the ground that we store from the yonder years(garbage). I have manually emptied the dehumidifier my father in law gave me 5 years ago until it recently bit the dust. Thanks though. MarshCappa 06-08-2009, 08:58 PM I got one. John..I'll see if it works...it's a beater though It will match the decor perfectly! Let me know if she works and I'll come by with bells on!:thanks::cheers2: nightfighter 06-08-2009, 08:59 PM Got a vapor barrier on the floor? MarshCappa 06-08-2009, 09:05 PM Got a vapor barrier on the floor? Yea some kitty litter in the corner! My house is over 100 years old and updated in the mid 90's with the exception of the basement which is ancient and nasty. I just keep some things in there that are seasonal things and on the dry side I have a little work bench for when I used too tune my ski's. Now my wife keeps her shiat there. If and when we go too sell the house I will probably pay to have the basement done right. I've been picking away each year at something to increase value.
